The Curse of the Mayans (2017)

English Curse of the Mayans is a big disappointment. It's as if the filmmakers decided to make a pretty good lead up to something interesting, but then threw it away and made a film that has such a bad ending that it can actually piss you off. This is really too bad, because it had potential. I guess they ran out of money, if there even was any, because I can't explain the ending any other way.

Flatliners (2017)

English The 2017 film Flatliners simply had no chance to succeed. The horror atmosphere is only there once in a while and it's really more of an agitation. This is also a remake of a good film, which automatically makes it flawed in my eyes. This really was bad and there was no point in making this remake. The film also features Ellen Page, who I find more and more annoying in each film I see her in.

Killer Workout (1986)

English I'm sure there are many viewers who won't like Killer Workout very much. I probably won't hold it against them, but I liked it as an 80's horror film. It's relatively straightforward and simple in terms of plot, although there is a reveal at the end. It all more or less fits together logically and there's great music that accompanies the film, which really blew me away.

Shadows of the Dead (2016)

English The American horror film Shadows of the Dead is a classic template with nothing new, and there is nothing to impart about why this film was made and why it should appeal to horror fans. Except maybe that it's not badly shot. That's not enough, and unfortunately, and it ends up being quite little in the end. But Shadows of the Dead at least probably won’t disgust you.

Wishmaster 4: The Prophecy Fulfilled (2002)

English Wishmaster 4: The Prophecy Fulfilled isn't exactly the nail in the coffin of the entire series, but it proved - and I think rightly so - that the series just wasn't good enough to keep it going, and that it didn't have the right energy to get more out of the theme of wishes. I think it's a shame that they didn't get more out of it, because this had so much more potential. Still, the series is tolerable.

Game of Werewolves (2011)

English The Spanish film Game of Werewolves will definitely not offend you. It's a well-crafted comedy that doesn't have a very original plot, but in this case that doesn't matter at all because the main point is to have fun. I think you will indeed have fun watching the film. You might not be holding your stomach at how fun it is, but it's a nice flowing experience that ensures that you will get what you expect and maybe a little something extra.

Selfie from Hell (2018)

English In the end, the American horror film Selfie from Hell turned out to be rather bland, lacking any real drive or balls to show us anything extra, which is a shame. Sometimes it's not enough to have a decent foundation. What follows may not be very exciting. Sometimes it's simply boring and not particularly badly executed, but unfortunately, it doesn't have anything that's really great in it either. And this really isn't.

Flatliners (1990)

English Flatliners has charm, and while you'll tell yourself that it's definitely not primarily a horror film, you'll feel very uncomfortable while watching some of the scenes. Joel Schumacher tends to ride a line that's more thriller-like, with even stronger personal contributions from each character, where their pasts and their fears and joys are the basis for being very scared themselves.

Pet (2016)

English Pet is a pleasant surprise for me and I was quite interested to see what came out of the seemingly ordinary torture/kidnap porn film. It's good, it's surprising, it's quite clever, and it's got great performances from the two main characters, which was absolutely necessary. But the filmmakers got it right and it all works together. There are some logical quirks, but the story probably needed them.

The Bridge - Season 4 (2018) (season)

English Season 4 is a fitting end to The Bridge, although I think viewers would have liked to see it continue. There is much that could be said, but equally there are aspects that make further telling impossible. It's probably a good thing that this is the end, because it ends in the best way possible and such endings are worth it. Saga Norén definitely remains one of the most interesting detective characters of all time.
