Ferrari 312B: Where the Revolution Begins (2017)

English A film about Ferrari, about people who like Ferrari, and made by people who like Ferrari. If you like Ferraris, you'll probably like the film a lot, if you don't, you probably won't be interested. The good thing about it is that there is a behind-the-scenes look at the production, not particularly deep, but even that brief glimpse is quite interesting.

Father Figures (2017)

English Owen Wilson and Ed Helms definitely have comic potential, and it showed in some scenes, but this journey to find one’s own father didn't work. It's lengthy, playing on the performances of the supporting actors without the script giving them anything interesting. Another bad, well-cast American comedy.

Control (2017)

English It's a bit of a cold film, not in its atmosphere, but in the overall approach to the characters, where even at the end you don't feel like you should show any emotion, even though you would be expected to in some scenes. We also suddenly get hot scenes, but even they lack energy. We are therefore left with the chill of the criminal investigation, which works.

Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry (2017)

English I don't know the series, but I was quite curious about how the fantasy would look in anime adaptation. And it must be said that it's not bad. I like that there is a contrast between childish and strongly adult, both work, although of course in the more adult, slightly rougher one, it doesn't go unnecessarily far.

Dear Etranger (2017)

English This is another one of those calmer films that make you think that the Japanese can be not only crazy and bizarre, but also human. It really cannot be ruled out. Dear Etranger takes only that which is human, but not so beautiful and more so dramatic, while still taking into account how sensitive people can perceive events.

Elements of Matter (2017)

English A group of unknown actors doesn't do much, they just talk and behave strangely. But I can't help it, I simply enjoyed this group. It was as if every actor was somehow mysteriously pleasant and I enjoyed their presence. Or at the very least, it didn't bother me at all. For such a small film, it was quite nice.

Black Bread (2010)

English The Spanish-French co-production shows its strength in a film that has scenes that are definitely not easy to watch, even though they are not very explicit. But it works. It also has a pleasantly dreamy atmosphere throughout, where some of the blows the film delivers are all the more powerful for it. Definitely worth a watch.

Dead Lines (2010) (TV movie)

English As the film comes to a close, you almost start to think that it might have a pretty clever finale, but it turns out that it's not clever at all, and that it was simply pulling the viewer's leg quite unnecessarily. I didn't like this very much, and while it was clear all along that it wasn't a great film, the ending disappointed me, even for such a small film.

Center of My World (2016)

English It isn't that easy to make a film about homosexuality that isn't a caricature but is also not unnecessary agitation, but like Call Me by Your Name, the German film Center of My World succeeded in doing so a little earlier. These are films that are nice to watch and are natural.

Strike - The Silkworm (2017) (season)

English Even though it's better than the first season, I still think it's not quite there yet, that it hasn't quite completely captivated me through its characters, although it is true that Robin and Cormoran are a good team. At times, however, I feel like the final denouements are so forced that while they fit, they’re not as graceful as in the old detective stories.
