It's very brisk, very topical, and at times very sexy (in every respect). It's very likely that you'll feel rather more of a dislike for the main character at the beginning and then you’ll root for her all the more. The poor thing. A film for the undemanding viewer who doesn't know what to do with a busy evening. Solid entertainment. (26/10/2020)

Cam offers an original theme reflecting the obsession of young people with success in the competition of artificial online identities and, what’s more, it is technically well made. But that’s why I expected this movie to develop a broader conspiratorial storyline with a more dramatic outcome. In the end, the movie is a rather intimate portrait of the psychological tremors of a teenage character who is out of touch with reality, and I as a viewer unfortunately didn’t find those tremors interesting. This is a very nice surprise that is more thriller than horror, but that doesn't matter here. The story revolves around the beautiful Lola, who earns her money through erotic webcam shows and tries to move up in the rankings. Unfortunately, someone steals her identity, taking almost everything from her and Lola doesn't like that. It's very original, colourful, quite smart, funny, decently acted, disturbing and mysterious at the same time, and above all it is exciting and sexy, something the gentlemen will enjoy, as there are plenty of butts and boobs. The finale is very nicely set up and the only thing that bothered me was that we don't get answers to certain questions. Netflix has been pedaling on the gas incredibly towards the end of the year and has improved significantly since January. Good job. 75% (20/11/2018)

An erotic techno thriller that quite nicely works with suspense. In normal circumstances I would say that the premise is quite fitting for America with its total naivete, had it not been for the recently produced documentary Caught in the Net, which is similar in its premise and goes to even greater extremes. A girl from live chat behaved in a quite thrilling way at the beginning and not because you expect her to make up a lot of different stuff in front of the camera but because of the mysticism that starts to happen in the second half of the movie. And what’s more all of this is quite absurd for an ordinary viewer but for those who work with the internet or create programs it is a daily routine and they can confirm that the worst scenario is when your identity is stolen on the internet, so this movie is worth thinking about. A visually appealing and outrageously sexy thriller with an interesting story about camgirl, who earns money by streaming her erotic online show on the Internet, where she tries to succeed in numerous competitions and gain as many viewers as possible. But then a mysterious duo suddenly steals her profile, and thereby her job. Soon they begin to also rob her of her privacy... This film is a remarkable and sympathetically open insight into the lives of young girls, who do not hesitate to expose themselves and in fact carry out prostitution on the Internet with anonymous users. It is filmed surprisingly dynamically, with a sense of black humor and the bizarreness of certain sexual deviations, by very capable creators who cleverly express themselves with regard to the current state of life on the Internet and streaming services. The wonderfully constructed plot is also impressive, during which the protagonist becomes the victim of a devilish scheme which, unfortunately, remains unexplained. Who concocted the scheme and how he or she succeeded are questions that are a mystery left to free interpretation. Which is quite a shame. (13/10/2018)
