David Oyelowo stars as Brian Nichols, a young man who escapes from the Fulton County courthouse in Atlanta after being sentenced to time in prison for rape. While making his escape, Nichols murders the presiding judge as well as three other people, sparking a manhunt by the authorities in the process. Desperately looking for a place to lay low, he kidnaps Ashley Smith (Kate Mara), a troubled young single mother, and forces her to shelter him. As the manhunt continues and Ashley is unable to visit her child, she turns to 'The Purpose Driven Life', a Christian devotional book, for guidance. (Transmission Films)

English Oprah said it at the end of the movie clearly and distinctly: “Jesus really loves you.” And it doesn’t really matter that the movie looks terribly stupid and illogical. What is important is that it is about life… ()

English If it wasn't for the information at the end that it was based on a true story, I would consider it a pretty good film, or I would give it an even higher rating. But in this case, I'm leaning more towards below average because the creators only succeeded in casting good actors and letting them act well. But otherwise the film doesn't bring anything special to the table. ()
