Biography
Istanbul, 1960. He got his degree in Fine Arts and studied filmmaking in Paris. He debuted in feature length movies with A Ay (1989), for which he was also the screenwriter. In addition to his feature films, he's directed several shorts and put on a theater piece based on a Jean Genet play.
