Night of the Living Deb (2015)

English Night of the Living Deb may intrigue you or leave you cold. It's definitely not like Shaun of the Dead, it's just not that good. But some scenes are good. The film works best in scenes where it pokes fun at the genre itself. There it's good and nicely critical. However, the film also points out a certain drawback of zombie movies in that some scenes are essentially copied and pasted, and you can feel the staleness from them.

Gang of Littles (2016)

English An incredibly drawn-out family film about four children with certain ambitions, but their surroundings aren't very supportive. If this were presented as a social drama, it might have the potential to captivate and convey something, but as this oddly tuned comedic crime story, it doesn't work very well and rather tires you out.

Linda (1981)

English It's a nice show of breasts. And that's precisely why I'm giving it an average rating because there is indeed a large amount of exposed women here, and it's just nice to watch. There wasn't that much artificiality 30+ years ago, which is beautiful. It's retro but pleasantly retro. However, in terms of plot, it's not a groundbreaking discovery.

Girl Asleep (2015)

English A film that I simply have to like for its fantasy and at the same time the bizarre and absurd nature of what we're watching. Some characters are oddball students, the kind that nobody really likes, but it's precisely their story that is interesting. Especially the girl we're following. This is just so weird it's beautiful.

Dark Chocolate (2016)

English An Indian film that's only an hour and a half long? Yes, those exist. Dark Chocolate is one of them and shows us in retrospect the story of a dead girl. It's quite sexy, it has the right drive, and it heads toward its goal briskly. For me, this is a pretty good example that Indians can handle thrillers quite well when they put some effort into it.

Cries of Pleasure (1983)

English A boring erotic film that has several interesting scenes from which something could have been made, but Jesús Franco seemed too afraid to show what could have been considered more interesting. But he has beautiful actresses at his disposal. I don't really appreciate the effort to turn this erotic film into a thriller. It does not work.

Tarzan the Ape Man (1932)

English At first, I wondered if someone was pulling my leg, and if this was really the famous Tarzan film because the visual effects were quite terrible. However, it turned out that the animal work here is actually very good, and for example, the fight with the lion looks beautifully believable. Maureen O'Sullivan, however, is terribly shrill.

Ava's Impossible Things (2016)

English At first glance, the film seems a bit like emotional manipulation, which may not work for all viewers. However, on the other hand, it's a strange, fantastical concoction where what happens in the imagination isn't entirely bad. But it just ends, and you somehow don't know what to make of it. However, I was intrigued and wouldn't completely dismiss the film.

Allied (2016)

English Brad Pitt is great, Marion Cotillard is excellent, and Robert Zemeckis knows how to film a scene that will be aesthetically intriguing at first glance. He chose an interesting story for his next film, but I just couldn't get into it, and this otherwise strong dramatic romance just didn't quite captivate me.

Lost in Munich (2015)

English Petr Zelenka is very specific and a very good author. This isn't just playing with history; this is playing with film, playing with the audience who isn't sure what they're actually watching. And you won't experience this twist just once, but rather several times. Despite the form, the idea here doesn't get lost, which is very intriguing and one that I could easily believe in. And all of this with a peculiar sense of humor.
