Determined to confront her evil stepfather Dr Anton Arcane (Louis Jourdan, Octopussy) for past indiscretions, young and ambitious Abby (Heather Locklear, Melrose Place) is ill-prepared for the chaos and peril ahead of her. Since I'm very fond of Creature from the Black Lagoon in its many versions, Swamp Thing is also an obvious choice. But since we're already in the late 1980s, it's only remotely utopian in quality. Nevertheless, it's a very entertaining film, especially thanks to the capable/incompetent soap queen Heather Locklear.
