Rain in Her Eyes

The Kibbutz Maoz Chaim children’s house. A gunshot echoes, followed by silence. 11-year-old Dvora is orphaned: her mother is found shot in the head. Journeying back to Dvora’s childhood, her son, the filmmaker, finds a woman with “rain in her eyes,” whose tormented life shaped her writing and family relationships.
