Burt Lancaster was a great actor. And yes, he began his career as an acrobat in the circus, before his famous film roles. That was brilliantly showcased in the movie The Flame and the Arrow, where he displayed his acrobatic skills. The story is hood-esque, but Jacques Tourneur's direction and the intriguing acrobatics, which are captured superbly, make it interesting. ()
