Season two opens with the dust still settling in Smallville following the shocking outcome of the confrontation between Tal-Rho and Superman. Smallville's national profile is booming... but something deep below the surface will send shockwaves through the town and may spell the end of everything. At the Smallville Gazette, Lois Lane and Chrissy Beppo are divided when an old story with a personal connection to Lois casts doubt on her professional credibility. The Kent sons also find themselves dealing with change. Athlete Jonathan faces new challenges on the football field that will lead him to questionable actions, while Jordan and Sarah Cushing's individual secrets threaten to erode their growing relationship. Her family also deals with new challenges as Lana's foray into local politics proves more demanding than she assumed, and leaves Kyle concerned that long-buried mistakes could come back to threaten the family. Against all of this, General Samuel Lane finds retirement doesn't necessarily make life quieter, while John Henry Irons and his recently arrived daughter Natalie attempt to make this new Earth their home while figuring out their place in the Kents' lives. English The basic premise of the show is still excellent. The Kents live their lives in Smallville and raise their teenage sons. Lois works for the local Smallville Gazette. Bizarro and Lana's sister, Lucy Lane, enter the scene. The cliffhanger from the previous series is developed into the storyline of Natalie Lane Irons and John Henry Irons, characters from an alternate universe who have superhero alter egos as Steel in the comics. Yes, this is directly related to the movie Steel and the episode Heavy Metal from the series Superman: The Animated Series. ()
