A Job and a Film

In an abandoned warehouse only a security guard remains alive after he is told to stay and do his job. This warehouse which was a film location contained a camera. A unique relationship grows between the guard and the camera, giving a chance for the former to create artwork, as well as a chance for the latter to be used and film. The film is a distinguished and unique work in its cinematic language and style. One can say is a masterpiece among the “film within a film” genre. It relied on visuals to present its narrative rather than dialogue. The film takes back cinema to its first nature as a visual art. It also fulfills cinema’s desire for unlimited imagination, and its need to constantly experiment, change, and rebel against what is tradition and mundane. We are on a date with a risky yet enjoyable adventure. (Cairo International Film Festival)
