Red Mill

The film is a research into motion picture printing techniques. The starting point and inspiration for the film were the windmill paintings by Piet Mondriaan, especially Red Mill. In the film, colour is created by multiple exposures through different masks during printing. Depending on the use of developing process, the colours mix in two ways: either additive or subtractive.
