Bavarias Alpine Kingdom

The early summer brings floods that threaten many of the animals that live there. Local farmers face these dangers in order to take their livestock to graze in the higher pastures. Autumn soon arrives and the black woodpecker's chicks take flight whilst the alpine cows are celebrated in a time honoured tradition. As the first snow begins to fall, salamanders begin their hibernation as winter returns to blanket Bavaria's Alpine kingdom. (Viasat)
