Diane (a charming, Clotilde Hesme), a loyal but slightly mercurial woman prone to spur of the moment decisions, agrees to be a surrogate mother for her best friends, Thomas and Jacques, without thinking of the deeper significance. Things shift quickly from humorous to poignant as Diane becomes simultaneously entangled with her electrician, Fabrizio, while he helps remodeling her grandparents home. Imbued with a physical comedy and grace melded with the discomfort of a summer pregnancy, Diane Has the Right Shape is a coming of age for a character already of age, rediscovering those life experiences which matter most.
