Yarn

Yarn is a natural or synthetic fiber, such as wool which is often used in weaving or knitting. Simple activities based on the production of textiles and decorative items well spread among different cultures across the globe. However, from a broader and more philosophical perspective, is it possible to see the act of knitting as an act of how life unfolds itself in order to create its own stories? The documentary Yarn casts light on this question and invites us to see our social relations as a big interwoven patchwork of events. From portraying pieces of art in New York and Poland to pieces of clothing in Iceland and a theatrical performance in Sweden, Yarn will certainly challenge and inspire its viewers with its vibrant colors and great deal of warmth.
