When Marnie (Susan Sarandon)'s husband dies, she finds herself lost and turns her attentions to her daughter Lori (Rose Byrne). Although supportive of Marnie's grief, Lori soon finds her mother's constant meddling in her life irritating and tries to find her a hobby. When Lori goes away for a few weeks on business Marnie offers her motherly services to Lori's friends, including picking out and paying for a wedding dress for Jillian (Cecily Strong). A new outlook on life looks set to be on the horizon when Marnie meets biker Zipper (J.K. Simmons) and the pair share tales of their past lives. (Universal Sony Pictures Home Entertainment)

Susan Sarandon was literally born to play this role. You see, I personally thought I was watching my mother, which sometimes was for the better and sometimes not. So, all in all, a nicely average movie.
