Wereczkey Erzsi is the manager of Concordia Transport Ltd. She is the family breadwinner for her mother. She chances upon a will in the family's bible, discovering that the treasure of the Vereczkey family is hidden in a manor-house in Mándok. Erzsi goes on a holiday to find the place and the treasure. As the treasure had been placed in the bedroom wall, finds a way to open a gap in that wall. Miklóssy is the landlord, whose aunt thinks she is a ghost. The chest turns out to be empty, and the brave lady detective finds nothing of what she has hoped to find, except her own happiness, eventually becoming young Miklóssy's wife.
