In the everyday hustle and bustle they are hardly distinguishable from regular people. They live their lives just like everyone else – except for the one day they pick up a gun and kill. In recent years, dozens of young people have joined radical Islamist groups. What are their motives? A young man born in Somalia gives anonymous testimony about how the radical Al-Shabaab movement recruits adherents in Denmark. He himself broke free from a terrorist group. But his friends have allowed themselves to be convinced that fighting and dying for Allah represents more than life as an outlaw in a European city. How do their journeys end? And how do their parents come to terms with the fate of their manipulated children? (One World)
