Airlift' is a film that captures the story of the Indians stuck in Kuwait during that time, through the eyes of Ranjit Katiyal and a few other characters. This is a story about how these Indians, with the help of Ranjit Katiyal, managed to survive the Iraqi invasion, and against all odds, move across Iraq into Jordan, from where they were brought home to India by the largest ever Airlift attempted in the history of the world. This is one of those Indian films that just doesn't sit well with me with their specific Bollywood concept. Once the singing started, the film somehow lost its overall weight and I could not take it as seriously. Yet the subject is serious. The topic is well chosen, but I didn't get the same great spectacle as I expected when looking at the poster.
