Anchored

Plots(1)

When the Soviet Union disentegrated, one of the largest fishing fleets in the world, was abandoned along with their crews, in different ports around the globe. This is the starting point of Anchored, which reflects – during the course of three years – the daily life of 5 sailors who chose to remain and begin their lives in a forgotten pier in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain. "Anchored" speaks about the fall of an empire and the loss of values and rights that were won by a now discredited revolution. It also speaks about human beings and the decisions that we make and how we decide to live. Every man, even under tragic circumstances, has the freedom to choose who he is.
