An incredibly chilling story based on the events of Autumn 1916 when a small psychology lab became the unwitting home of the only ever U.S. government confirmed case of possession. In what quickly became a matter of national security, leading paranormal psychologist Dr Henry West discovered that his latest patient Judith Winstead had inexplicable powers that simply could not be controlled. After being classified for nearly forty years, this is the frightening story of the Atticus Institute. (Universal Sony Pictures Home Entertainment)

English As found footage, the American production Devil's Obsession is not badly made at all. It features everything you expect from the genre, so give it a chance. Unfortunately, it does not deliver anything more than other movies of its ilk do. It is just exactly what you imagine a found footage movie to be. That is just not enough for me, and I found the movie did not give me anything although it was fine to watch once. ()

English One star is maybe a tad too hard, because The Atticus Institute it’s not a bad film if we take into account the author’s intention. It’s a fake documentary about a facility where scientists conduct research on people with paranormal abilities, until they come across a woman whose abilities are downright demonic. So, most of the time it consists of the talking heads of those who have survived to the present, period photos with a voiceover from said talking heads, and the mandatory period film sequences here and there. Objectively, the concept holds up, subjectively, it’s terribly boring. ()
