100 Bloody Acres is the creepy yet hilarious story of brothers Reg and Lindsay Morgan's struggling organic blood and bone fertiliser business. The use of dead car crash victims in the mix has been a huge boon to business, but it's been months since their last find and an important new customer is waiting on a delivery. When Reg (Damon Herriman), the junior partner in the business, comes across two guys and girl stranded on a remote country road, he sees a radical solution to their supply problems and a way of finally gaining the respect of his bossy big brother, Lindsay (Angus Sampson). But things don't quite go to plan when Reg starts to fall for Sophie (Anna McGahan). The writer-director team of Colin and Cameron Cairnes offer a satisfyingly gruesome and wondrously funny mix of horror and comedy that will make you laugh and squirm in equal measure. English You can basically expect anything from movies like 100 Bloody Acres. I was especially curious to see if I get some amusing non-PC fun; alas, it didn’t happen so I was watching a classic horror full of intentionally idiotic people who keep murdering each other in equally idiotic situations. So, a classic. I watched this for the Challenge Tour 2015. ()

English An entertaining and really well made Australian horror comedy about two brothers who produce organic fertilisers and the three young tourists they want to turn into fertiliser. There’s very little horror (though there’s a lot of carnage), and plenty of jokes. But don’t expect to cry in laughter, this is rather a nice and slightly funny flick with likeable characters. The plot is pretty predictable but still fun. Unlike the similar Tucker and Dale vs. Evil, the premise of 100 Bloody Acres is less original, but I liked this Australian comedy a little more. Strong three stars. ()
