36 Views is the fourth fi lm in a series dealing with historical painting. The title alludes to Hokusai’s 36 Views of Mount Fuji. The fi lm consists of six parts whose contents are characterized by a confrontation with the Japanese artist Hokusai and phenomena of Japanese everyday culture. (Anifilm)
