In a nod to 70's indie splatter films, the story follows six college classmates on a drug and sex filled week-end. While getting high in their University's medical archives they discover research notes on John and Wilma Hopper, a psychotic couple from the 60's who brutally raped their victims to death. When one of the friends is brutally murdered in the same way that the Hopper's victim's, it soon becomes clear that a copycat killer is on the loose... or have the killers somehow returned from the grave to wreak havoc once more? English A significant step forward from Ferrin’s previous Easter Bunny, Kill! Kill! in terms of direction and casting, but I don’t think I’ll ever be a fan of his films because he has again chosen a topic that I find discouraging rather than appealing; this time it’s all about drugs. Someone's Knocking at the Door has several interesting moments (besides almost all of the murders, the passages with various noises and sounds), so it’s certainly not boring (thanks also to its reasonable runtime). It can be recommended. ()
