Plots(1)
Retired British military officer Capt. Hugh 'Bulldog' Drummond (Ralph Richardson) is the leader of the 'Black Clan', a secret alliance crusading to free England of crime by expelling foreign undesirables. When World Peace Conference delegate Brunel is assassinated it is up to Drummond and co. to find those responsible. Made in 1934, the film's politics now seem rather dubious as the Black Clan bear more than a passing resemblance to the fascist blackshirts of Oswald Moseley. (StudioCanal UK)
