The Open Road

A mismatched trio on a road trip to reunite. Miscommunication, frustration and comical bonding... they've still got a long way to go. When Carlton's (Justin Timberlake) mum (Mary Steenburgen) becomes ill he has to take an unexpected road trip to track down his estranged father, legendary baseball player Kyle (Jeff Bridges). Knowing his dad's charming yet painfully immature likelihood to disappoint, Carlton enlists his friend Lucy (Kate Mara) for emotional support. Once reunited, Carlton struggles to deal with a series of misadventures caused by his father's antics... missed flights, car trouble and bathroom brawls!
