Plots(1)
The movie follows idealistic American Robert Jordan (Gary Cooper, High Noon) as he travels abroad to join up with the guerrilla forces and fight in the Spanish Civil War. Tasked with blowing up a bridge behind enemy lines, Jordan is distracted by partisan María (Academy Award® winner Ingrid Bergman, Gaslight) at base camp, who catches his eye and his heart. As Jordan's love for María grows, he not only begins to question his assignment and his politics, but also his place in this foreign war far from home. (Umbrella Entertainment)
