What’s on the menu when a curious boy follows his goody-two-shoes father to seek shelter from the rain, as they stumble into a pub with a very peculiar waiter? This film, the end result of Tomáš Vorel’s third year studio practices, already showed the director’s unique knack for all things absurd, as during the duo’s entire stay at the pub, nothing happens at all! However, the unremarkable situation comedy, stylized dialogues and an unspoken tension remain chillingly entertaining throughout the entire movie. (FamuFest)
