There is no school at the mine property. Nagy Gábor, teacher, is an enthusiast. He puts all his heart into organizing tuition. All his effort seems to be wasted energy when the desks are removed from a large engine house, converted into a classroom, and children are chased away from the premises, by Chief engineer Laskó's men. Laskó argues that the number of schoolchildren should be at least 30 in order for a school to be opened. The teacher, helped by the miners, continues his struggle for the school. Eventually all problems are sorted out when new families arrive. The number of children now is high enough to be able to carry on with their tuition. (official distributor synopsis)
