Plots(1)
Laci and Józsi, the two brothers, left their home to see the wide world in October 1956. Their adventurous journey takes them to Egypt. They end up in a reformatory school, from where they escape, getting on board of a ship. The captain of the ship forces them to return to Alexandria. From there, the boys leave for the Hungarian Embassy in Cairo on foot, wishing now to return home to their mothers. In the desert, they find themselves in the middle of a film-shooting. In the general confusion, they lose sight of each other. Józsi ends up in the home of the famous actor, later wandering about in the city accompanied by the actor's bored little daughter, Fatma, looking for his brother. Meanwhile, Laci finds his way to a village, where he makes friends with Mustafa, a boy of his age. The two start looking for Józsi. Adventure is followed by adventure, and they notify their mothers about their whereabouts following fabulous events. The four children meet up in Cairo, then the actor has Laci and Józsi fly back to Budapest. (official distributor synopsis)
