Amy Heckerling's hugely successful high school comedy is a modern day version of Jane Austen's 'Emma'. Cher (Alicia Silverstone) is a precocious teenager, acutely aware of her own superior social standing in relation to some of her classmates. She is just as sure of her position of authority at home as well, until her stepbrother arrives to disrupt the status quo. Her poise is somewhat disturbed at school, too, when a new classmate stirs an emotion in her she has never felt before: love! (Paramount Pictures AU)

English An absolutely awesome relax. I woke up, turned the TV on and watched the totally unknown movie Clueless. I won’t lie, it was a load of hogwash, but I don’t get to laugh this much with many movies. The blonde’s father was the best – a total hothead. Not only that, but he also made the movie really relaxing. Such 92 minutes are exactly what I need on a Saturday morning after a workweek. ()

English It's not entirely clear to me why Amy Heckerling preferred Clueless to Look Who's Talking Now, but apparently the potential for a TV series was there. Here, everyone is on point. Sweet 90s teen Alicia Silverstone in the lead role, RIP Brittany Murphy still as the ugly duckling, Paul Rudd as the ideal for all generations, Elisa Donovan, of course, and the hallmark of Heckerling movies Twink Caplan. :) At first glance, it’s an interchangeable comedy from American high schools, but for fans of Amy, it amounts to a bit more. Nowadays it's also a case of nostalgia and catchphrases that the younger generation won't understand anymore. ()

English I wanted to give it more credit at first, but it's just a simple romantic comedy with such annoying characters that it must frustrate you when you think about them a little. The actresses handle it great, but they bothered me nonetheless. However, I was quite amazed at how Brittany Murphy looked at that time. I wouldn't have recognized her at all. ()
