We learn the pre-history of a runover from the conversations conducted by a detective named Sándor. - Bálint István wanted to send his son to university at all costs and was deeply offended when Péter submitted his application to the vocational school of waiters. Bálint advises his son against getting married young. For this reason, Peti does not take his relationship with Margó seriously and the girl breaks up with him. Later they make peace again. Their circle of friends wish to celebrate their reunion with a little trick. Margó is the driver, although unwillingly. In a curve, they run over an old man who dies in the hospital. Peti takes the responsibility of the runover upon himself. Although the detective identifies the true chain of events, he holds Peti's father also responsible as he did not care about is son's life.
