A Native American (Paul Koslo) travels around a resort town, murdering cops and rich people with a high-powered crossbow, while demanding that the town’s richest residents pay him money to stop the killings. The richest man in town (Stuart Whitman) hires a mercenary (Oliver Reed) and a tracker (James Mitchum) to stop this mad man, while a reporter (Deborah Raffin) gets close to the story. (Kino Lorber)

The Ransom is a standard action crime movie with a ludicrous bad guy. The film is salvaged by Oliver Reed as a tough, never smiling agent and the attractive locations in the California (or Nevada?) desert. ()
