The basis for ROBOTECH: THE NEW GENERATION and a cult hit in Japan, GENESIS CLIMBER MOSPEADA is a 25 episode anime series that has long been unavailable in the United States. It begins in the year 2083, 33 years after a group of hostile aliens known as the Invid took over the Earth. At the time, 2050, a handful of survivors made their way to Mars, where they set up a military base in the hopes of taking a stand against the Invid. In 2080, the children of the original soldiers hatch their own plan for taking back the Earth. Unfortunately, it too fails. However, some of the soldiers who survive the attack find each other and become a tight knit group, deciding to try and take out Reflex Point, the Invid's headquarters.
