The Colour of Happiness

The marriage of Lóránt, the leader of the French Institute and his wife Ditta, the ex-teacher journalist, being no more intact, Lóránt has a young artist girlfriend called Hanna. The girl lives together with Máté, a doctor who has had several divorces, who at last is willing to marry her, whereupon Hanna breaks up with Lóránt. Hanna's art historian girlfriend suffers from cancer, and Ákos, her heroin-addicted husband, is in love with Máté's extreme adolescent daughter. Ákos's mother is a lonely alcoholic. Ditta strives hard to regain Lóránt, thereby spoiling everything. Driving drunk, she crashes her car into a bus. The driver of the bus is a young man from Ghana, loves Hungarian literature and Budapest. In the bus – like in a dream – the happy and unhappy protagonists of the film come across. (Mokép)
