A comedy and a western, with heavy melancholy and surprising twists. But even though Gene Hackman and James Coburn go together perfectly, I had a bit of a muddle with the other characters, and the random mood swings didn't help much either. Besides, when the final outcome is mainly determined by a few random happenstances, your pleasant impressions turn bitter unnecessarily quickly.
