Years ago, Dr. Franklyn antagonized a cult of snake worshippers who retaliated by performing a series of secret rituals on his daughter Anna, transforming her into a reptile. Charles Spalding is the first of Anna's victims when he is invited to the Franklyn manor and attacked by the horrible creature - part woman, part reptile. The Reptile isn't a great piece of British horror, but it fits in quite nicely with the style that the Hammer studio had in the 1960s. Unfortunately, this is a film that met the needs of the studio in terms of quantity rather than quality. Nevertheless, it can be said that the mask of the main villain is quite decent and can still captivate even after more than fifty years.
