As a boy rather small for his age, Geordie responds to an advertisement for a bodybuilding course, determined to improve his stature and thus win the heart of the girl of his dreams, Jean. Becoming the course's star pupil, Geordie (played by Bill Travers) soon matures into a tall, strong young man, working alongside his father, gamekeeper to the local Laird (Alastair Sim). He and Jean (Norah Gorsen) fall in love, but when sporting success takes him to Melbourne, Australia for the Olympic Games, misinterpreted radio reports and the sheer geographical distance between them threatens to put an end to their relationship.
