János Szűcs, chief executive of the Central Bank, buys a dream car in order to spend his holidays far away and by himself. His interest is aroused by a young lady looking around in the automobile saloon. Szűcs arranges for the woman, Kovács Vera, to receive the car as a promotion present of the saloon. Vera is a recent recruit to the bank, making a modest living, and she has never seen Szűcs before. He makes a secret of his position and enters the service of his beloved as a volunteer driver. Love awakens also in Vera, but she wants to break off the relationship as she learns the true identity of her partner. But the emotions of Szűcs are sincere, and Vera, forgiving him, accepts their mutual happiness. (official distributor synopsis)
