The film is placed at the beginning of the fifties at a stud near the border. The uneducated, but reliable poor peasant Busó Jani is assigned to be the master of the stud. The professionally well-trained stud officers humiliate Busó by executing his orders rigidly, who, at the same time, realises that for the sake of the stud they ought to co-operate. But the officers refuse his attempt. At the same time his superiors do not accept his request for exemption. When the political situation becomes hotter, the officers want to escape the final account. Their non-commissioned officer stabs Busó for they do not trust him. (official distributor synopsis)
