Night and the City

The tale of scheming professional fraudster Harry Fabian, who is trying to work his way up to the position of a successful boxing promoter with the help of cunning manoeuvres, has finally received an updated version, forty years after the creation of Dassin's film. Although the storyline does not deviate too much from its predecessor, there has been one fundamental shift: the film setting has moved from post-war London to the dirty streets of contemporary New York.
