Dr. Alice Dodgson (Jennifer Grey) finds herself traveling to Jamaica when a wealthy American (Craig Sheffer) hires her to treat his mysteriously ailing brother. Ritual is pretty cheap and lightweight "horror" entertainment. Okay, it's not much of a horror movie and it doesn't even come close to having the atmosphere of the original film. The film tries to be a little sexy and succeeds, but it doesn't go overboard. Jennifer Grey actually saves the film for me a little bit, because I enjoy watching her. The finale is a bit brutal for the audience, and it's worth turning off about a minute before the end.
