Biography
George Coe has performed feature and co-starring roles in thirty films, including the Academy Award winning “Kramer vs. Kramer.” In addition, he is one of the creators of and the leading player in the classic short film “De Duva” (The Dove).
His television credits are extensive, spanning fifty years, and include 23 movies-of-the-week; a series regular role on “Max Headroom;” recurring roles on several series; and frequent guest starring appearances. Most recently he has appeared on “The West Wing,” “Bones,“ “Numbers,” “Nip/Tuck,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “Private Practice,” “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Wilfred.” He is currently the voice of Woodhouse on the animated series “Archer” as well as voicing characters for “Clone Wars,” “Celebrity Death Match” and several others.
He was a member of the original Broadway companies of “What Makes Sammy Run?,” “Mame” and “On the Twentieth Century.” George has appeared in many stock and touring productions including the National Company of “Look Homeward, Angel” and “Gypsy” (opposite Angela Lansbury.)
Mr. Coe’s soap opera credits include running roles on “Somerset,” “The Doctors” and “All My Children.” George has had a lengthy career as a commercial performer, both on camera and doing voice-over, including six years as the voice of Toyota, among many other major accounts.
