Biography

Bernard Josse (b. 1956, France) worked as a cameraman and editor on a number of documentaries directed by the likes of Dominique Dubosc, Stefan Jonot, Jean Labib, Christian Povéda, Cristian Rouaud, Fabienne Rousso-Lenoir, Jacques Sarasin and Richard Vargas. KVIFF presented his film I’ll Sing for You (Je chanterai pour toi, 2002), which he also edited, in 2004. Thirty years after meeting saxophonist, bandleader and artist Peter Brötzmann, he decided to make a film about him. The project emerged over a five-year period, completely independently, without a budget and only with the collaboration of journalist Gérard Rouy.
