Biography
Benjamin Whitrow's career spans five decades of theater, film and television. He was a member of Laurence Olivier's National Theatre company, and worked with directors such as Harold Pinter, Alan Aykbourn, Michael Attenborough, Richard Eyre, Adrian Noble and Michael Blakemore. He was nominated for a BAFTA for his role as Mr. Bennett in the definitive BBC adaptation of "Pride & Prejudice" and he was the voice of the Brigadier in Nick Parkes's animated film "Chicken Run". His filmography includes roles in Louis Malle's "Damage", "A Man for All Seasons", "Personal Services", "The Saint" and Richard Loncraine's "Brimstone & Treacle".
