Biography

Carol Morley graduated with first class honours from the Central St Martin School of Art and subsequently received her Masters in film and video from the London College of Printing. She was awarded numerous grants and has made several short films (I’m Not There, 1996; Everyday Something, 2001; Stalin, My Neighbour, 2005; The Madness of the Dance, 2006). Her films have successfully screened at festivals, galleries and on TV. For her documentary The Alcohol Years she won Best Documentary at the IFF in Melbourne and, in 2001, she was also presented with a special Grierson Award at the BAFTAs. Her first feature film was Edge from 2010. Dreams of a Life is her latest feature.
