Biography
Petr Oukropec (b. 1972, Prague), Czech producer and director, debuted in 1994 as a producer with the feature Indian Summer directed by Saša Gedeon. A year later he and Pavel Strnad cofounded Negativ film productions. In 1999 he took the Czech Lion for Best Film (Gedeon's Return of the Idiot). He is a member of the European Film Academy, and since 2003 he has led a producers workshop for the production department of Prague's Film Academy (FAMU). In 2012 he served as director of the children's adventure flick The Blue Tiger.
