Alice McDowell is a freelance documentary filmmaker, working both locally and internationally in the areas of human rights and democracy. In recent years, she has collaborated with the Galway Film Centre, Galway UNESCO City of Film, Science Foundation Ireland, Ishka Films, the Irish Film Board, and the Simon Cumbers Media Fund. Her work has explored a range of themes, including LGBTI Rights, Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), Feminism and Islam, Money in Politics, and Parkinson’s Disease.
