Ric Roman Waugh has written and rewritten numerous studio‐based feature film
screenplays for producers such as: Jerry Bruckheimer, Mark Gordon, Neil Moritz, Barry Josephson, Todd Garner, Mark Canton, Jim Sheridan and Nick Wechsler. This includes his latest screenplay Evel; a bio‐pic on the life of Evel Knievel which Ric will also direct for Exclusive Media.
As a director, Ric helmed the critically acclaimed film, Felon, from his own screenplay for Sony. The prison‐based drama starred Val Kilmer, Stephen Dorff, Sam Shepard, Harold Perrineau and Nate Parker. Next up is the feature film, Currency, for producer Steve Golin, Participant Media and Film District. The large‐scale domestic action thriller is centered within the shadow world of Tier 1 Special Operations when two of America's most elite warriors end up having to face each other on opposite sides of the law.
He wrote screenplay to film Tipping Point, produced by Temple Hill Entertainment, Relativity and Industry Entertainment. The tense thriller set 50 years in the future follows a ruthless Population Control Officer who lives only for his job, until the day he discovers two fugitives he's been pursuing are the love of his life who mysteriously disappeared years ago and the 12‐year‐old son he never knew he had.
