Biography

César Martínez Herrada studied Directing and Production at TAI and began his career in 1984 as an assistant director. In 1990, together with screenwriter Pedro García Ríos, he founded the production company Dexiderius. He has directed the fiction feature films Manos de seda (1998), Once Everything is in Place (2002) and Arena en los bolsillos (2006), as well as the TVmovies Otra ciudad (2003) and Perquè ningú no oblidi el teu nom (2007), and the documentaries Objeto encontrado (2012), Chapa Discos (2013) and Ruibal por libre (2017). As a producer, he won two Goya Awards for the short films Dreams (Daniel Guzmán, 2013) and El hombre feliz (Lucina Gil, 2007), and the First Prize at the 50th edition of Time of History with Cuadernos de contabilidad de Manolo Millares (Juan Millares, 2005).
